Dream Dapple is a one-woman studio. Every piece begins the same way — a quiet, painterly landscape in soft, living light — and ends as something I've printed, stretched, and checked by hand before it ever reaches your wall.

I custom-order every material, assemble each piece myself, and look closely at each one before it's packaged. No warehouse, no assembly line — just careful work and a love of the light in wild, quiet places.

My work is created with AI-generated imagery combined with digital painting and color, then printed in my own studio and finished entirely by hand. I'm honest about that process because the craft that matters — the materials, the stretching, the final look on your wall — is all mine.

How a painting starts

Sometimes a place I've been. Sometimes a photograph, or just a memory of somewhere and the way the light sat on it. Often it's imagination — the beautiful, dreamy places you only ever get to in your head. That's usually where the good ones come from.

Most of them don't survive. Out of ten, I keep one, maybe two. The rest never become anything.

What happens to the ones that do depends entirely on the piece. Some barely need touching. Others I work on properly — painting in brushwork where a focal point feels underdeveloped, building texture into tree leaves, adding strokes that pull your eye where I want it to go. I take out things the AI put there that don't belong. I'll change a color palette when the sky or the trees aren't what I was after, and sometimes I add something that should have been there all along — a cabin, a few more trees down by the water.

Then the color work, which is most of it. What looks right on a screen does not come out of a printer that way, and nothing about that is automatic. Every piece goes through professional treatment in Adobe before it prints — lifting the file, working specific bands of color and saturation — so the piece that arrives at your wall is the one I actually made, not a dulled-down version of it.

How each piece is made

Canvas — archival pigment inks on a 340gsm cotton-rag & polyester canvas blend, hand-stretched over solid 1.5″ gallery-depth bars (most canvas prints use 1.25″). Arrives ready to hang.
Fine-art prints — museum-grade giclée on 330gsm 100% cotton rag — noticeably heavier than the 260–310gsm stock typical of fine-art prints. Made to order.
Every order — checked for tension and finish by me, personally, before it ships.

Shipping & delivery

Processing — every piece is made to order; please allow 3–5 business days to print, stretch or finish, and pack before it ships.
Transit — typically 3–7 business days within the US once it leaves the studio, with tracking on every order.
How it arrives — canvases ship fully assembled and ready to hang; prints ship flat in a rigid mailer for smaller sizes, or rolled in a protective tube for larger ones.
Cost — shipping is free on every order, whatever the size and however many pieces. No minimum, no threshold, nothing added at checkout.

Returns & satisfaction

30 days — return any piece within 30 days of delivery for a refund.
Arrived damaged, or something's wrong — email me and I'll replace it or refund you, and I'll cover the return shipping. This one's on me.
Simply changed your mind — you're welcome to send it back; return shipping is on you, and I'll refund the piece once it arrives.
Want a different piece instead? — place a new order and return the original once the new one arrives; I'll refund it on receipt.
No restocking fee — ever. I don't take a percentage for handling a return; you get the whole price of the piece back.
